This plate replaces the stock PCV valve baffle. It allows the use of AN-style fittings for increased crankcase ventilation. It fits 2.0L Zetec engines including SVT. The kit includes: one plate with a 1/2 inch pipe tapped center hole, stainless steel cap screws and washers. Brushed finish.
Now include a baffle design to prevent excessive oil evacuation from the crankcase.
Note:
The baffle on this plate is made as small as possible to keep the chances of oil getting past to a minimum.
Therefore, fitting clearance on the back of the plate is also limited. Pipe threads vary so much from brass, steel and aluminum. And since there is no way to know what will be used, the hole was tapped deep enough to accommodate any of them.
If you experience the fitting contacting the baffle before it tightens up in the threads, here are some suggestions:
a) Add a few wraps of PTFE tape to the threads to make up some of the difference.
b) Trim off a small amount of the end of the fitting with a saw, grinder or lathe, until it screws in tight.
c) Try another fitting.
